The first step
Have you already identified your demand for project coaching or are you not quite sure yet whether project coaching could be a right means to an end? In any case an initial meeting with a next level project coach will pay off.
The first contact serves to clarify the following questions:
- What triggered the interest for project coaching?
- Who would have to be involved in the contracting phase?
- Where and when should a contracting meeting with all necessary parties take place?
Depending on the complexity of the parties to be involved, one to several contracting meetings will be held after the initial contact. The contracting phase is finalised once a written project coaching contract could be fixed which includes at least the following elements:
- The topics and goals of the project coaching
- The project coaching system (coaching of an individual, a project team, a project manager group or an entire project organisation)
- The applicable project coaching elements (PM mentoring, personal coaching, facilitation, project management documentation)
- Contracting / arrangements (cancellation modalities, budget, coaching location, etc.)
